Bio
Born in Pretoria, South Africa, Nicole first started singing at the age of 4 years old to Cher’s well-known song ‘Strong Enough’ in the living room of her grandmother’s house in Port Elizabeth. Since that day Nicole has never put a microphone down and started taking lessons at the age of 11 at a music school called Nu-Song in Pretoria. She has also completed her grade 8 Trinity exam with Merit at Pitch Arcade.
Nicole then took part in the South African Talent Championships (SATCH) where she received a gold medal for her performance. She has also performed at local coffee shops in Pretoria.
A big career highlight for Nicole was when she got to perform for 500 people at a function where she received lovely comments about her unique and soothing vocals that would always draw listeners in.
At the age of 18, Nicole moved to London, United Kingdom to study at BIMM for her diploma in Vocals and thus carrying on to study for her BA (Hons) Professional Musicianship degree in Vocals. Whilst studying for this degree, she released her debut single ‘Troubled Line’.
Nicole has had the opportunity to perform at the Half Moon in Putney as well as Under The Bridge to name a few.
She enjoys genres such as Country, Indie, Soul, Blues and Pop music.
Nicole’s role model is Taylor Swift because of her amazing forms of lyricism and creative ideas when telling stories. Nicole aspires to write like her and dreams of communicating her songs to her fans in a way that Taylor does.
Nicole has recently graduated from BIMM London with a degree in BA (Hons) Professional Musicianship Vocals.
Nicole’s recent single release “Unstoppable” has been recognised and played on BBC INTRODUCING as well as named track of the week on the radio show.
